SK Music, an innovative studio space in Andheri West, aspires to provide an inspiring and soulful space for budding musicians to bring their melodies to life.

The Problem:

The client required a versatile environment that seamlessly transitions between a lounge and a productive workspace. This demanded a lighting scheme that not only accommodated diverse functions but also enhanced aesthetic appeal and functionality while adhering to specific user preferences, genres, and moods for various spaces within the establishment. The problem at hand was to create a dynamic lighting design that could fulfil these multifaceted requirements, fostering both productivity and ambience in a harmonious manner.

Our Solution:

We started by dividing their space into three distinct zones, SK Music's ground floor boasts a captivating seating area and intimate cabins. To achieve the perfect balance between work and relaxation, we implemented an ingenious lighting scheme of warm and warm white lights. Leveraging automation technology, we crafted various scenes, including General, Mood, and Work, allowing the space to effortlessly transition between a lounge and a productive workspace. Additionally, the innovative Photoshoot scene, featuring traditional three-point lighting, adds a touch of brilliance to the ground floor's seating area, making it stand out.As we ascend to the first floor, the stairs and passage area act as a transitional space between two distinct lighting designs. The lighting for the lounge area was curated especially for the client, providing a personal space to host friends.

The lounge radiates a tranquil ambience with its well-calibrated indirect lighting and COBs are set at specific brightness levels to smoothly transition between the scenes to make the best use of the lighting design. The Concerto and Ensemble scenes further transform the space into a captivating stage, artfully illuminating the piano, while dimming other lights to accentuate the performer. The designing workspace on the first floor offers an array of scenes tailored to diverse user preferences, optimizing productivity and creativity. Each music composer who utilizes the space can have their specific scenes, curated for their unique taste.

The basement space,

The Lighting Design for thisspace was conceptualized keeping in mind that multiple users using this space, our automation finesseenables us to create multiple scenes that maximizes the potential of the design. The Setup sceneprovides abundant lighting at maximum brightness, ensuring seamless instrument arrangement. TheJamming scene, on the other hand, strategically creates multiple zones, granting artists the sensationof performing on a stage, with focused face lighting and a captivating ambiance that intensifies themusical experience. Moreover, we have thoughtfully curated scenes to adapt to different genres ofmusic like Jazz, Rock, and classical, each designed to evoke specific moods and ignite creativity in thesingers.
