The proprietors wanted to create a workplace that seamlessly combines functionality with comfort. They were faced with the challenge of transforming the architect's layout into an office environment that accommodates various employee needs, provides optimal lighting conditions, and allows for the transition between a typical workday and Friday office gatherings while maintaining an atmosphere of ease and visual appeal. The problem statement was to design a lighting solution that caters to these diverse requirements and fosters a harmonious, productive, and relaxing work environment.

Upon receiving the architect's layout, we identified that the space had two distinct zones, allowing us to create unique spaces to cater to different employee needs. This office space has a series of cabins, an elegantly designed conference room, an open workspace for individual desks, and a relaxed informal area for collaborative efforts. Our lighting design for this expansive office space is built on three layers, thoughtfully catering to different aspects of the working environment. The Ambience and Accent layers combine to create an atmosphere of ease and visual appeal. Meanwhile, the Task lighting, fine-tuned for optimal performance, ensures a work experience that is both effective and harmonious. The colour temperature strategy—employing both warm and warm white tones—strikes a balance between task-oriented brightness and a welcoming environment.
